Prehistoric Long-Distance Interactions: Non-local Pottery from Pueblo Grande

Laurene Montero received her M.A. in Anthropology from Arizona State University in 1989 and has been a professional archaeologist in Arizona since then. In her role as City Archaeologist for Phoenix (since 2011), Laurene conducts archaeological research and assists project proponents and archaeologists with meeting city archaeology policies, current professional standards, and applicable regulatory requirements for a variety of project types. Laurene is co-author of Phoenix’s general plan for the treatment of archaeological resources, advisor to the Phoenix Chapter of the Arizona Archaeological Society, and serves on the Tempe Historic Preservation Commission.
